Classical Chinese Garden

The Associated Landscape Contractors of America (ALCA) presented Teufel Landscape with an Award of Merrit and the Oregon Landscape Contractors Association (OLCA) presented a Regional, Grand, and Presidential Award to Teufel Landscape for their involvement in the Classical Chinese Garden in Portland, Oregon.

Teufel had been involved in the project for over a decade, having been initially visited by the delegation from Shuzou, China who sought out Teufel for their landscape expertise and exceptional quality plant material.  Teufel worked side by side with artisans and craftsmen from China who lived in Portland close to two years during the construction of the elaborately detailed garden.  The garden, when complete, has been acknowledged as one of the finest examples of a classical Chinese gardens outside of China.
