Extreme Home Makeover & Teufel Landscape

The television show "Extreme Makeover Home Edition" came to Oregon for a
project different from any other they have done in the past. The Oregon
School for the Deaf in Salem was the recipient of their efforts. Teufel
Landscape, as the leader in Green Roof installations in the PNW, was
brought in to coordinate installation of a green roof for the dormitory
addition to the school. The most challenging aspect if this project was
that there were literally hundreds of volunteers from dozens of trades
all working on the small site over the course of the one week
construction period. Our work had to be completed within a window of
only a few hours. The show will be broadcast October 31st and will be
their Halloween edition.
TriMet Green Line Grand Opening
Teufel Nursery was happy to be a sponsor of the “Green Means Go” opening of the Tri-Met Green Line on September 12, 2009. This event was held at Pioneer Courthouse Square in downtown Portland to celebrate the opening of the east side line along I-205 from Clackamas to Gateway and then through downtown. Teufel was contracted to provide landscape for the eight stations, five park and ride lots, and along the track-way. Teufel has been providing landscapes for Tri-Met since the first Light Rail in 1986.

Teufel Volunteers at Dozer Days
"Dozer Day is like a fair without the large expense. For rides, the kids hop in the driver's seat and actually drive big yellow dozers, dump trucks and other heavy equipment with a professional operator at their side. Not only is it a dream come true for kids (and fun for the whole family) the event is also a fundraiser benefiting local children's charities." Nutter Foundation

Earth Day with OMSI
Trees for Tots: Teufel Teams up with OMSI

Earth Day was a huge success this year! With environmental projects going on all over the country, Teufel did their part.
We had a tree plant exhibit at OMSI this past Wednesday. Kids of all ages learned how to plant small boxwood shrubs. They learned about the importance of trees and even got to take one home to care for. Teufel nursery Inc donated over 275 8" tall boxwoods for this special event.
