A memo from the Teufel Family
Trust me – nobody better understands how busy the holiday season can be. Here at Teufel we are considered by many to be Santa’s helper, producing more than 300,000 individually hand crafted holiday products (wreaths, garland, swags, centerpieces, basket arrangements, etc.) that are displayed in homes and businesses across the country and over-seas.

A memo from the Teufel Family - continued
Take close to 2,000 tons of fresh greens, a work force of 300 people, add to that a healthy dose of creativity and the drive for exceptional quality, and you have a recipe for holiday success, “Teufel style”.
But no matter how hectic our lives have become, we know that we must slow down and take time to appreciate those we consider our friends. I want to share a poem penned by my father, Alfred Teufel, more than a half century ago (see “Friendship” below). I am reminded that these words are just as true today.

Friendship
As we hurry down life’s busy street,
it is our Friends we’re glad to meet.
‘tis the Friends we meet each day
that make our work seem more like play.
It seems to me it is quite funny
how we hurry to make money,
how we scurry to and fro,
because we think we need the dough
But when the year is almost o’er
we see the things that mean much more.
It is the Friendships we attain,
that are the best thing we can gain.
For there is nothing you can do.
that will be of any good to you,
If you cannot in the end,
always gain another Friend.
So as down life’s weary road we trod
our heart and hand should rest with God,
for he can help us see the way
To make another Friend each day.
Alfred B. Teufel

Back when this picture was taken, fresh holly wreaths were shipped by rail to the central and eastern United States. Pictured is Alfred Teufel as a young man, learning the business from the ground up.
To you, our valued business partners and friends: Thank you for your support and patronage over the past year. Our wish for you throughout the New Year is peace, prosperity, and good will to all.
