Teufel Nursery exits bankruptcy


Teufel Nursery Inc., one of the largest landscaping firms in the Pacific Northwest, has completed a reorganization seven months after seeking protection from creditors under Chapter 11 of the U.S. Bankruptcy Code.

The company won court and creditor approval for its reorganization and repayment plan Monday morning in U.S. Bankruptcy Court in Oregon.

Pruning Hydrangeas

Knowing if your shrub blooms on old or new wood
will help you make timely cuts

Although hydrangeas do not require annual pruning, occa­sionally snipping these plants can improve their performance.

I know people are confused about how to prune hydrangeas because I get asked about it all the time.

Wild Thyme (Thymus serpyllum)

General Culture: Easily grown in average, dry to medium, well-drained soils in full sun. Tolerates drought and poor soils of somewhat low fertility. Loose, sandy or rocky soils with excellent drainage are best. Cut back stems as necessary to maintain plant appearance or to control growth/spread. Plants are evergreen in mild winters.
